Blessed with a wide exposure to music making early on in life, ranging from playing in classical orchestras, brass bands, rock bands jazz and big bands. Being a multi-instrumentalist, Tom learnt many instruments at different stages of his life with private tutors, at school, in-group lessons, in ensembles and self-taught.
He has worked as a professional musician in the UK and internationally for over 20 years, playing concert halls, theatre tours, music festivals, multicultural events, hotels, weddings, clubs as well as playing on several albums and recordings.
Having graduated with a degree in Contemporary Music, a postgraduate Certificate in World Music and also acquiring his PGCE certificate, Tom is currently teaching music at a private school in Japan. He maintains an active performance schedule by playing in various groups, in particular his jazz-fusion project Cycles of Trio.
